Workshop Content:

Over the last 10 years I’ve been diving into varied training disciplines including (but not limited to) bodyweight strength, handbalancing and flexibility.

I’ve had to learn how to effectively manage training in each area and integrate them into a sustainable ecosystem which allows for progress across the board. And then I’ve had the pleasure and experience of coaching people all across the world in doing just this. Helping adults build sustainable training practices while incorporating and making gains in each discipline.

To do this effectively, I had to break down each discipline and understand the most important factors which help to build each one. Learning the highest value drills and concepts to train which help provide people with the most gains across the board. Removing a lot of excess ‘fluff’ and unnecessary drills I was exposed to along the way.

In this workshop I will be covering these fundamentals and blueprints I deem to be most important and worth investing your time into so you can build an efficient practice and be sure you’re on the gains train for a long time coming.

Bodyweight Strength Training

Learn about the 4 main planes of movement for the upper body and how to progress efficiently in each one:

  • Vertical Pulling + Pushing (The Chin-up and Handstand Push-up and their regressions and progressions)

  • Horizontal Pulling + Pushing (The Row and the Push-up and their progressions onto the gymnastic rings)

Handstands

Learn everything you need to actually handstand so you don’t waste time on unnecessary drills.

We’ll be covering:

  • How to balance

  • What handstand specific strength is required and how to build it

  • How much flexibility is really needed to handstand and how to assess if you have enough

  • How to progress towards the press to Handstand

Flexibility

We’ll be covering these 5 areas of flexibility and how to develop them while also building strength in the ranges, allowing you to use them in your other practices:

  • Pike

  • Front Splits

  • Bridge

  • Middle Splits

  • Pancake

Looking forward to seeing you there and having the opportunity to take you through my findings!
